    Hi to everyone.

Today after some testing I realized that the left channel of my Flying Cow is dead, kaput!, nothing, nada. This is the second Flying Cow thath goes down with our system.

I remember reading here that the FC wasn’t the greatest option for HDX, so I’ve got two questions:

First, is it worth fixing it? (I guess not because our VAR -that now is out of bussiness- just replaced the first one even though it was out of warranty)

Second, what would be a suitable replacement, for now I am using a fostex D-5 as D/A/D converter but it is not the best option in the long term.

    Thanks and best regards,

    Juanjo.

I use Lucid AD and DA converters (the 9624 series). Not cheap, but clean as a whistle and completely solid.

I’ve only ever used a Cow converter with m100 HDx hardware.

A colleague of mine tried AJA’s converter with M100 HDx and it does NOT work. It seems like it’d be a great solution, but media 100 hdx and the AJA audio A/D/A converter do NOT work together.
