  DC Cable for the GY-HD111

  Hi Guys,
  I thought I drop a note it to rant about something that happened yesterday as I was about to go and shoot, in the hope that other people have some ideas.
  We were at the location and I was setting up and I found that the battery that I had didn’t work, even though I thought it was charged I put in another.. and again nothing. Not so much as a flicker of light. At first I thought my camera had gone and crapped out on me. Just to be sure I put in the DC cable and wouldn’t you know it the JVC powered up first time.

  Perplexed I spent half an hour trying to figure out what was going, and then I noticed that the little yellow tab off one end of the DC cable was missing… to be found right at the bottom of the DC port. A quick search gives stories of heated safety pins or taking apart the entire camera.

  Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it without having to send it back to JVC for repair?
