Have a project with a lot of tracked windows.

Was working in HD and changed to PAL to export some clips for broadcaster to do promo.

When I switch back to HD windows and track are misaligned.

I can recreate this in a test project but I can’t get the reverse to happen so as to have them aligned for HD again.

    Am I screwed?

When I switch to PAL again it gets even smaller!
    Can’t reverse the change.
    Bug?

I think it may be a pixel aspect ratio thing as I’ve had the same issue when working with Anamorphic Alexa. I desqueeze for the grade on my HD monitor and then change the PAR back for render and the windows have moved.

I’ve not tested this on recent builds of Resolve only the beta version of it.

    Hi,

I’ve just encountered this problem when outputting Black Magic Cinema Camera footage shot in 1920x1080p30 to DNxHD (same resolution and 25fps). Some clips track fine, whereas on some clips the power windows jump erratically all over the screen but ONLY in the output. In Resolve I’ve checked frame by frame and the tracker holds the desired place. I was tracking eyes of talent in close ups, making them less red and applied sharpening. So now I see little green ovals jump all over the screen for 4 out of 20 or so clips. Two circular power windows in one node, Davinci 10. This was on a Windows 7 machine.

    Any suggestions?

Ok here’s my workaround to save me redoing all my tracking after switching back to HD.

To summarise first here’s the original problem.
Was working on HD project with loads of tracked shots. Changed timeline to PAL 16:9 and saved.
On reopening and switching back to HD all tracking shrunk. Reversing process track stays the same so if you keep alternating tracking will get smaller and smaller.

Node 1 has original tracked windows. I’m using a node resize of 1.424 and I’m taking key from that.

Node 2 inverts the key to keep the same. I need this node to stop the image in the windows being resized.

Seems to work in my test project. We’ll see how it goes on the original project.

Hope this helps anyone else that gets caught out.
