DaVinci Stability Decreasing – Freezing UP
Is there anyway to give Resolve a good old fashioned cleaning? There are some old projects that I’d like to delete but can’t. I get the spinning wheel for 4-6 minutes and when it stops spinning, the projects are still there. Also, project are beginning to freeze from time to time which forces me to force quit the application. Not a big deal, but that seems to be killing performance when I attempt to re-open those projects.
Any thoughts?

Hi Craig,
In the DB Manager on the login page, you can create a new database, and it is pretty much a clean start. You should be able to switch back and forth to the old databases if required, or copy projects from the old database to the new.
We are working on some optimizations for the delete project performance, and it will show up in v8.

I am having a reoccurring problem with a couple of projects containing Pro Res files. When I try to save the projects, the progress bar often gets to %54 and then freezes. Any suggestions?

Lets it run…it will come back.
We have exactly the same problems in a huge feature film database.
If you need to speed it up right make a new Database per Project.A slice of color…
