Hey Chris, how ya been? I have yet to experience this but when we had Resolve years ago at Encore I believe this message popped up when the storage for the still store was getting full. Peter is this a possibly reason for Chris’s memory message.

Did you try to pull one of the 4000s? Using just one card seems to work here- at least Resolve is running quite well for the last couple of hours without any crashes or error messages. I’m in touch with the support to further investigate…

This sounds very familiar I think it is still store issue.

Severen- I know the problem your having. The reason it works better with one card is a 5d codec problem. with 2 graphics cards the davinci/cuda doesn’t know how to divide up the media/frame causing it to get stuck and/or crash. In the past we transcoded all 5d media and the problem was solved. The latest version of software and firmware updates should do the trick too.

    Hey Gareth,

Things are great. Working on the westside coloring and producing movies and TV shows.

I don’t think it’s a storage issue because I’m using a partition on our SAN as my “local” for stills and cached media…but I’ll check it out.

transcoding this 5000 pixel stuff to something else seems also reasonable idea if this resolution is not needed in the workflow later. Specially animation format as it is not supported as far as i know ?

I would even bet that you should try to swap 4000 cards when you have just one in the machine.

Some people have had problems with faulty cards.
    Specially on 4000 series.
