Davinci Resolve 15b 4 phone home…
Installed version 15b4 which is absolutely awesome! (the revival tools in the FX plugins are a welcome feature and work great!!!)
Updated my database and continue working the whole day, the new update is much faster than 15 Beta 3, saves much faster and feel more responsive.
I usually block the internet connection from my suite but today had to connect as a fast turnaround session took place and needed to upload for quick approvals.
I Left the system to media manage a quite a lot of timelines to come back and finding that Resolve is trying to phone home – and that is the first time EVER that it happened. (I have a network filter) and all the processes are on hold, waiting for Resolve to make contact!
I blocked it from contacting and it crashed on me (96% of the first timeline out of 9 half hour programs) and I lost about 4 hours of render ….
Now, I know that most software trying to contact the manufacturer but I wonder what Black Magic is doing?

Hi, the crash report is only initialized if there is a crash, so it didnt stop the media management, the crash did.
Did you get to finish the media management after the reboot?

I reboot and continue (with a blocked connection ) , it did about 80% of the job and crashed again..
Not sure what caused it to crash, tried to find the logs but not sure where..
