just want to use Lite version for testing on my MBP. It’s an older 13″ Mid 2010, running Mavericks. When I launch Davinci, it fully loads, but I cannot see the bottom part of the screen to be able to go into Edit/Color/etc modes.

Is there a specific resolution I must use to see the full UI, which maybe my MBP doesn’t do as it is only 1280*800…

Here is what I see full screen…

I installed v9 and it does indeed show full screen….so it is a v10 issue (with my MBP probably) that doesn’t help much for testing v10…

Minimum Resolve screen resolution is 1680×1050. That is true for V9 and V10. Resolve will not properly work on any 13″ MBP, because Intel HD Graphics is not supported. Plus the screen resolution thing.
