We are a small TV station starting up in Uganda. I have bought SE-800 and CG-100 and so far I can create very nice stuff on the CG, it all flies, moves, ticks and rolls. But – cannot mix the ticker over the programming that comes in via satellite. Tried all sorts of things and connections, and still nothing. The programme and the ticker play very well on the two separate preview monitors, but no mixing/overlay takes place, ever… What am I doing wrong? HELP!!!!!

I answered your question in the Blackmagic Forum. Any non synchronous source (like a satellite feed) must go thru a frame synchronizer to lock to a video switcher. Data Video makes the TBC-1000, which is very inexpensive, and will solve your problem.
