    Hey everyone,

Here’s my thing. Speaking of clip shot with FS7. My hard drive stopped working yesterday, I get it recognized but no way to get it mounted on the two Mac I tried.
With Disk Drill I’m trying to recover files, and it seems to work. The first clip worked perfectly, but, the others .mxf I finally recovered won’t let them be played in Premiere or VLC. Some of them have their .xmf recovered, some won’t, but none of them would open. I read a few thing about reconstructing MXF but not sure I really got what sould I do..

Has someone already experience this ? would you have any tips ?

They are really important clips ( and no other way to get them back..) … ☺

    Thanks a lot, a lot,
    Samuel Ab

[Samuel Ab] “but, the others .mxf I finally recovered won’t let them be played in Premiere or VLC. “

How were these recovered? Unless you used a utility that understand Sony’s codec and metadata they may not be properly recovered. The developer https://aeroquartet.com understands camera master file recovery for example.

If VLC can’t play it, you may not have a valid (playable) file.
