    Hi,
when I’m digitizing from our Panasonic machine to a DVCPro50 or a ProRez HQ codec the resulting clips appear darker than the original. Capturing to 10 bit uncompressed looks good.
I’m using a KonaLHe with a big Panasonic Display on the second SDI-out (has a waveformdisplay). FCP version is 6.06 (I updated from 6.0.5 hoping this would resolve the problem). Quicktime and kona software versions are the latest.
To evaluate this issue I generated bars in FCP, laid them off to tape and captured this tape back into FCP:gamma was shifted towards black! For in and out I used SDI. Finally I tried the uncompressed codec where everything was fine.
I don’t know how long this problem already exists on our mac since usually I don’t log and capture but log and transfer my clips from P2 cards.
Can anyone help me on this issue?
    Thank you,
    Sven
