Darby – Wiggle Expression…
Hi Darby,
I’m having a few issues with using the slider to control camera wiggle.
My camera has a wiggle expression attached to position wiggle(.5,20). I’ve created a null and have added a slider to which I have added your expression. When I pick-whip the wiggle expression to the slider I get an error.
Any tips.

assuming you want to key frame the amount of wiggle, you would want to highlight the amount value (20), then use the pickwhip to direct that value to the value of your slider.
if you wanted to control the wiggle frequency, you would select the .5 value and use the pickwhip to direct it to the sider value…

Sorry, I don’t know how I managed to miss a post with my name in the subject =O
The expression I gave you should be applied to the Camera not the Null slider. The two variables at the front end (‘f’ and ‘a’) should be linked using the pickwhip to two slider controls on the Null.

Hi Darby,
I’ve been using the expression that you gave me and it works, however, even when using only a small amount of wiggle, it starts and stops quite ‘violently’ (sort of a very exaggerated wiggle) and I’m not sure why. This problem only happens during the ramp up phase between keyframes; the rest of it is fine.
Any insight you might have would be appreciated.
