    A) Some ask to avoid rendering in Ae directly to H.264, but, instead, going to MOV or ProRes and then encoding to H.264 with AME. Is this labor efficient in CS6 or CC 2018? Isn’t it a waste of time using Ae – AME? Why?
    B) Are you using DANIEL2 or accelerated H.264?

How do you speed daily render workflow? Thank you!

Ae does not offer H.264 for mp4 since CC2014, and as of CC2018 – no QT container as well. Using AME means you can keep working on Ae, have Ae version for each queue item, and many great presets adjusted to fit which offers better H.264 than native Ae offered. your needs. In the long run, you can work faster in many cades. But Ae in comparison will be faster per render and is less step. I use aftercodecs to render straight from Ae an mp4 file. I used to use AME and it was fine too.
