  Daniel 2 codec in large post environments

  I was just reading up on Daniel 2 and wondered if anyone had used it yet on a large scale. I am managing a live show with 24 EVS / 5 ENG cameras. All of our post-production is in the Adobe Creative Suite. We are wrapping on season one but looking forward to season two we are looking for better/more efficient options than the AVI-Intra 100 we have been using.

  The ENG element is a mix of R3D / Arri / Sony. Transcode speeds on the 4k/5k media have been promising using Daniel 2. Normally transcoding 4k to AVC-Intra usually takes about 2.5x real time. Daniel 2 has consistent times around 1.6x real time.
