Hi, I have footage of a dancer at a disco but I want to change the music and change the timing of his dance.

I want to try and add ‘Crazy Frog’ tune and get my dancer to move to the beat. I think reversing footage is the obvious solution so he moves back and forth etc but is there an easy way to set up key frames so the footage will match the audio automatically or do I have to set up each beat?

or is this project best suited to After Effects?

    many thanks

Definitely After Effects if you want automation. Cycles are very easy to setup in AE.

Hmm, it’s going to be pretty difficult, especially if you plan on changing dance moves itself. However, you can easily replace the audio by importing the new song, place it on track # 2 and muting all other tracks.

Many thanks, I should have posted in After Effects (sorry!)

Have now found time remapping on After Effects and am making slow progress with that.

    Thanks again
