Dailies with frameline or opacity matte
Posted by Gaylen Nebeker on September 30, 2014 at 3:31 amIs there an option to add a matte with opacity to the output for dailies?

Do you mean a letterbox?

October 1, 2014 at 12:02 amNo not a letter box. We are shooting open gate but delivering 2.35:1 blanking on the dailies. They have asked that I make viewing dailies, H.264. with the 16:9 center cut frameline or matte with opacity (everything outside 16:9 would be slightly darker).

October 1, 2014 at 3:06 amYou’ll want to look at the “Data Burn-In” tab in the color page.

October 1, 2014 at 4:37 amThanks Juan,
I have been looking in the Burn in area but I do not see any simple in program way to do this.
I think I could build the frame line in photoshop and import it as a “logo” but I still do not see any way to adjust opacity in resolve. Hopefully I can bring it in with opacity from a photoshop file or something. -
