Da Vinci online
Posted by Filipe Nunes de barros on February 6, 2012 at 1:29 pmHi,
there’s a way to buy Da Vinci via app store or something like that? Because i live in Brazil and if I buy with a media (cd, dvd) I will have to pay very high taxes, without media it’s a more simple tax.
Thanks

February 6, 2012 at 1:48 pmWell DaVinci Lite is a free download. Do your needs require the additional functionality of the $1000 license? That is a physical dongle that needs to be shipped. Perhaps look to a local reseller for Blackmagic?

February 6, 2012 at 4:33 pmThe $1000 DaVinci Resolve License consists of a DVD in a cover. You don’t really need that DVD as the download off the web is the full install. And there’s also a dongle that looks like a USB drive.
So if someone you know just buys it retail in the US and flies down with the dongle, you’re in business.
I come from a country (India) with high import duties too. Out here the Resolve costs the equivalent of US$1500. I bought mine at ‘special exhibition discount of 50%’ for the equivalent of US$ 740.———————————–
