I’m experiencing serious SD PAL playback problems on a system based on Intel’s d975xbx mobo, Decklink HD Extreme (outputting to BestaSP via analog Component). Latest drivers/soft version installed. The Decklink Disk Speed readings are excellent (225 fps read, 125 fps write), but playback is choppy with lots on clicks in audio. The very clips are OK – I can play them on a Supermicro P4SCT+ SD/Decklink SP system with no probs…

Any idea where a bottleneck may be? My prime suspect is D975XBX’s onboard Intel controller configured to run a four-disk SATA II RAID 0.

FYI: I figured out the cure is driver ver. 5.6 (with card’s firmware update)
