Is there a way to import color bars into a Nikon D800? I’d like to calibrate a video monitor with color bars from the camera. When I write a color bar image to the memory card, the camera tells me that it can’t read the file.

Not as far as I know. Shoot the color bar under ideal conditions and you can use it to set white balance. But then again, that’s what color and grey cards are for.

OK. Well, using color bars to calibrate a monitor has nothing to do with white balance. Thanks anyway.

Color bars wouldn’t work even if you recorded right off a monitor. Why? Luts only exist on the canons, example, cinestyle. You only have the flat neutral look on yours. The most the color bars would help with would be matching other similar cameras. There’s no standard or color management going into your computer. You are probably looking for a standard model that can be created with this software for profiles.
