Can I output my BMD 1080i/59.94 sequence via HD-SDI to a Panasonic D-5 recorder? Never output to a D-5 recorder, just want to make sure before I rent the deck. Thanks, Paul

Only to a D5-HD recorder not an older D5 only deck… But yes D5s work fine… you will want to change the deck control presets to panasonic instead of the default sony.

Juan, what has been your experience with these decks? We’re about to do a lay off & we were given a tip to prep the tape for 8 tracks of audio. Have you done this before? We’re just getting into D5 work and besides the extra features, it appears to work similarly to Dbeta decks.
