  Cyberlink software increased size of my project

  I have imported video (2.5gb) on timeline. I only added menu and 6 chapter points. When I went to burn to dvd, software tells me its over 5gb and won’t burn the dvd. I tried a 85mb file and it mushroomed to 1.85 gb without adding anything. Anyone else had or heard of this problem. So far not happy with Cyberlinks response.
