When i’m editing a clip using the “S” key. It always cuts the other timelines that are above or below the timeline i’m working on…..I just want to cut the timeline i’m working only. How do i do that……I know I’ve tried muting the other timelines but that doesn’t work……….Thanks, Gary

You have to SELECT the events you want cut. It will cut all SELECTED events – if none are selected, it will cut ALL that are under the cursor. The easiest way is after setting the cursor to the right place, CTRL-Click the one you want split to select it.

Thanks for answering……I tried that ….set your cursor where you want it and then control and click…and it does highlight the place i’m cutting but it still cuts the muted track above it….? What am I doing wrong? Thank you………Gary

I wish there was just a way to select the track without having to click on
on each time before you “S” it……
