Cutting up some footage
Maybe someone could give some advise. I have a promo video on DVD of a band that our church is paying to do a concert for us. The pastor is wanting a snippet of this to play for the congregation on Sunday. It is 6 minutes long, and he wants something 2-3 max. Is there a way that I can go into that dvd and cut sections out to bring it down to 2-3 min?

You can extract the whole DVD with File | Import | DVD Camcorder Disc… then cut it down to just the parts you need and render those to DV AVI and delete the rest from your hard drive.
