I have three cameras shooting a scene; left, center and right.

I’ve cut back and forth between all three with multicamera in Vegas Pro 12.

Now I want to add a small text title to each camera, “LEFT” on the left camera, “CENTER” on the center camera, so it is obvious to the viewer which side is being shown.

I can’t seem to do this. I am probably missing something very simple, as I have only recently began using multicamera.

I tried ungrouping the multicamera track back to the 3 original tracks, maintaining the cuts I had made. If I make a new video track, add a text element, stretch it across the length of the video and put it above all my tracks, it obviously appears throughout the whole video.

How can I make the text appear only to one camera?

    Thank you for any help.

If you use Titler Pro as a video effect (instead of a generated media), you could add it to the media on the Project Media tab and it would be added everywhere that media is used at once.

    Thanks Edward.

So this effects all clips on a timeline? Not at my computer at the moment, but sounds perfect for what I want to do. Thank you very much.

Is Titler Pro included with Vegas 12, or do I need to purchase it separately/upgrade?

I’m not sure if Titler pro comes with Vegas 12, but I have it on Vegas 11. For my version, if you right click on a video event or the media icon itself in the project media window, you can click “Media fx” and go to NewBlue Titler Pro, which will put the next on all the footage from that video. You can do that for all three cameras.

Titler Pro 1 comes bundled with Vegas Pro 11 and 12.

It will affect everywhere that media is used on the timeline.
