Cutting on the fly
In FCP7 I had a keyboard shortcut i personally mapped to the ` key. When I hit it it would blade through all the tracks on the time line. It is useful for when, say, I bung some audio on the time line and want to trim out the rubbish whilst listening to it play through.
At the moment in X all i can seem to do at the moment is use the B button to get the blade up and then cut the clip. Admittedly it does still play when i Blade but it isn’t very accurate unless i stop and cut then start again, whereas the ‘ (as it was on my set up) is specific to when i hit the key.
Please can someone point out how to keymap this feature back to my ` key?

Cmd-B will do what you want. Or you can remap sonething else that isn’t used.
