Hi I;ve looked around but havent found the answer to my question yet.
Instead of Log and Capture with Batch capture, I just captured the entire tapes that I have.

Now I am trying to cut some of the captured clips and discard matter I dont need. Is there a way to do this from within Final Cut Pro or do I need a third party tool? I undersand FCP is non destructive, and what I am trying to do is destructive, meaning i want to delete the matter thats not required. Thanks in advance for any response.

OK I’m guessing that seeing as you’re logging and capturing, you’re ingesting P2 media or similar?

If you’re ingesting P2, then you can do what you need via P2 Manager, whereby you can set i/o points and basially change as much of the meta data as you like.

If it’s not P2, I’m sure there’s some kind of equivalent out there.

    good luck.
