Cuts and Fades = Artifacts and Issues
You guys have been so much help in the past, thank you for everything you do.
I’ll try to make sense on this as I’m not sure how to describe the problem I’m having. I am cutting a music video with a lot of syncopated cuts and flashes. I’m seeing horizontal lines and artifacts drawn on my fades and cuts as video clips transition from one another. Could this be related to the field order settings ?, my footage is HDV 1080 MT2 1440X1080 and the raw footage was assigned an “upper field first” field order setting upon capture.
I’ve had this issue before in some of my productions, not sure what’s causing it but I’ve had a few clients comment on it, and I’m wanting to take the steps to avoid it in the future.
