So, I’m not sure if this is a simple task or not, but I have a logo that I want to cut into small, hexagonal pieces so I can make it fall apart into those shapes using fracture objects and dynamics and such. I know I would need to use a honeycomb type grid to cut the logo so the hexagons fit together, but I’m not sure if I can generate one of those in Cinema. If I need to I can have a friend make one in illustrator. But even then, I’m not sure of the proper process for “cutting” the logo so it will work with a fracture object and start falling apart like I’m looking for. Any suggestions?

Nitroman’s Thrausi plugin can cut things using a spline https://www.youtube.com/user/Nitroman2010#p/c/27C000A49E4798AD/13/bPjwrKKBSx0
but I don’t know how complex a spline you can use. Assuming is is possible to use that complex a spline it would likely, as you can see in his tutorial video, cut the pieces you want too but it is possible to “join” parts after they were cut. Assuming you are using 11.5 or 12

This is great. I think it’ll do what I need. Thanks for letting me know about this awesome plugin.
