    hi,

I need to cut a dvd in several parts.
I like how quick time player 7 can cut and paste and save a past fast. It only can’t open dvd’s.
Then final cut express is a disaster with custom resolution and export is slow cause it recompresses or whatever.

After effect’s is also not the thing for it (i even don’t know if it can open dvd’s).
Anyway, since i can’t find i general forum and people around here probably know what’s the best,
how can i cut a dvd in several parts?
(i need to get all scenes with a certain actor)

Mpeg Streamclip will do it for you.
    https://www.squared5.com/
It won’t read a copy protected dvd, but everything else would be ok.

    Good luck!

Well… DVDs are protected to prevent them from being ripped so…

I don’t know how you would do that, but if you or your client have the rights for the content, you certainly would be able to find the material unprotected.
