    Greetings all!

Alright, I’ve been working on this project for a few days now and it’s driving me nuts. My client has a weird canvas size that they need my video to fit in. The size they need is 851×886. I shoot in HD and need the video to fit into that size with out distortion. I’ve been able to resize my images to fit properly into a 4:3 canvas, but upon exporting, everything gets funky. If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate it!

    Thanks!

    Christen

851×886 does not comply to any video standard I’m aware of, and FCP is a video program, so this will be no-go for you. You need to go to Motion or After Effects to work with custom canvasses such as this.

I actually figured out how to do it Final Cut! Sequence Settings. You can change the canvas size there. Of course, I had to tweak my footage, but it worked!
