I am trying to get Vegas 8 to view/minimize all tracks with the shortcut: ctrl+alt+m. I’ve gone to (options) customize keyboard, found the name, MinimizeAllTracks, added the shortcut in the shortcut keys window, and pressed OK. But the shortcut does not work. I tried saving a new keyboard map name with this shortcut. Still doesn’t work. I tried the shortcut ctrl+shift+alt+m, same dead end. I must be leaving something out here. Anyone know?

I’m not sure why this isn’t working for you. I just tried it and it works for me. Did you press Add before you pressed OK?

You might want to look at TrackView.Zoom.MinTrackHeight. It’s already mapped to the tilde key (~) and also by double-clicking on the vertical scroll bar on the right side of the track view. Just use one of those two methods if you can’t get your other map to work.

Thanks, John. Yes, the tilde works great. All I need. I wonder why the pull-down menu for “view” doesn’t list that shortcut while it does list others.

As for not being able to customize the keyboard, that remains a mystery. Yes, I did press add. And each time I bring up “minimize” in the customize keyboard, the shortcut is listed. But it doesn’t’ work.
