Custom workspace for two monitors
I’m helping a friend move from FCP legacy to FCPX.
He wants to see the output of the timeline to always be on the 2nd monitor
He also want to see a view of work done with titles, transformations, effects and
Retiming, cropping etc on His main monitor above the timeline and to the right of the browser.How can I set this up for him?

With FCPX, you get the layout choices they give you and while you can save the current state pf panels as far as opened/closed/resized goes there are no truly customisable workspaces.

That would be like having two monitors with the same thing since your effects and such would be on the program anyway. Is he talking about having the viewer that will have his media from the browser in one window and the program on the second display?

Reading it again, is he just wanting to have FCPX on one screen and set his preview to the second monitor via Preferences and the AV Output option?
