I reciently took over a editing position and my predicesor created a number of custom templates in motion. The problem is when I olg into the computer as me and open FCP the custom themes do not show up in my browser and I can’t seem to get to them any other way. How do i import these to my profile? They show up under master templates in the effects tab when i am logged on as the former user.

Probably tied to his preferences for FCP.

Can you bring them in yourself?

    Log in to his account

They should be in his user library… I beleve Library > Application Support > Final Cut Studio > Motion

    but that is memory

Folder should be called custom themes or motion templates….

    Sorry long night

Thanks, I did find the little buggers by following the path you set forth. I copyied them to a simular place under my profile and then tried to import them under the favorites folder in the effects tab. They seemed to copy but still will not show up. Should I have put them under master templates like they were in the former users FCP

Need to move all the files in that folder into an identical location in your user folder

I tried to lay them into the same directory but they are still not showing up when I am logged in as me in FCP effects. I can not seem to drag them into the efects browser either.
