Custom Text won’t fill, text see through, need to be solid
I’m having a problem filling in the cap for this font in C4D. I want it to look like this

Is this correctable or is this a font style problem? The second image seems to have caps and is not an empty fill like my text in C4D.

Any help with adding a fill so the font is not see through would be awesome. Want my end product to look like the silver filled 2nd image.

Looks like your trying to extrude a font that was designed with a 2D shadow effect, which isn’t going to work. Make the text spline editable, run Functions>Explode Segments, delete the outer/fake-shadow splines, and then extrude the remaining splines.

Thanks a lot Adam. I followed your instructions and it seems to be working so far. When I add an extrude to the text (see image) the text doesn’t extrude.
Any ideas?

I tried grouping the edited text but that didn’t work. I’m guessing it has something to do with changing the text properties again?

Just figured it out. Had to delete the parent spline for it to connect with extrude.
