  • Custom Screen Size in Premiere Pro

I am a new user of Premiere Pro. My use of premiere is primarily for a digital directory board that is in the foyer of my business. The custom designed software that drives the board (46″ computer monitor, mounted portrait)has a section of the screen where I can add a video. I know the exact pixels of this space and want to create a video that allows me to work with the entire width and height. This space does not come even close to working with standard aspect ratios. Is there anyway to create a completely custom aspect size?

File / New Sequence / Setting / Editing Mode / Custom.
Usually one sets the sequence up the same as the footage and then export to the given dimension.

depending on how you’re going about this…you can either edit inside PPro at the portrait screen size (and obviously fill whatever non-video areas you have with graphics, etc or crop the video), or the video could be dropped into an html document that you have designed like a website with stills, graphics, and videos playing back in designated player frames, etc…

…but PPro may be one of the easiest video editors to use for non-video screen dimensions.
