    Custom pc for running CS5

    I’m planning on purchasing adobe CS5 creative suite 5 production
    premium student and teacher edition to learn how to use after effects, premiere pro and photoshop. Right now I have a custom pc which runs:
    Windows XP
    core 2 duo 3.0 GHZ,
    2GB RAM,
    EVGA GeForce 9500 GT 512MB 128-bit DDR2
    WD 500 GB HDD

    I am planning on either updating my original custom PC or building a new custom PC to work with CS5. If I decide to update my original custom PC it will have:
    window 7 64 bit
    core 2 duo 3.0 GHZ
    8GB RAM
    WD 500 GB HDD
    MSI N240GT-MD1G/D5 GeForce GT 240 1GB 128-bit GDDR5

    If I decide to build a new custom PC running i5 processor it will have:
    windows 7 64 bit
    i5-Intel Core i5-650 Clarkdale 3.2GHz
    MSI N240GT-MD1G/D5 GeForce GT 240 1GB 128-bit GDDR5
    8GB RAM
    500GB HDD

    Is there a big difference between the Core 2 duo 3.0GHz and the i5-650 3.2GHz?

    I can always add high capacity hard drives,Raid and more RAM in the future. I am doing as a hobby and I’m a beginner using adobe products and I don’t want to “Put all my eggs in one basket”.
