Custom mouse button mapping.
Is there any way in illustrator that I can map the two extra buttons on my mouse for something. Like I wanted to map it to the eye dropper tool so I can edit text format without pressing the button I.

that is an interesting suggestion. I think it is possible, but not through Illustrator.
This should be handled by your mouse driver software. Which type of mouse do you have?I have a Logitec mouse with 5 buttons and I can assign any keystroke to any button through the software driver that came with it. That way it is possible to bind the eye dropper to a certain button.
