Custom Keyboard Shortcuts for a Mouse With Special Buttons in AE?

My guess would be that you have to have the drivers installed first. That would no doubt give you access to the key assignments, probably in the Windows Control Panel. The picture you show is a Razer Naga, so there should be driver downloads on their website:

Like Joseph said, that kind of shortcut assignment is handled in the mouse software, not After Effects. You can usually (depending on the mouse) specify which application will treat “1” as “undo.” So, for example, you could set “1” to be “undo” in AE and be “brush tool” in Photoshop, if you were so inclined.

if your mouse software doesn’t support it, you can still create a custom keyboard shortcut then map it to the mouse buttons/scroll wheel with the easy to use autohotkey. it would send a fake keyboard command when you use your mouse.

May be anybody know how to program Razer Naga for FCP X? Some list of commands, file perhaps 🙂 I found driver for that mouse but it looks like with this driver you can have some ordinary set of commands.
