  Custom Effects Control???????

  Hello!
  I have a bit of a problem with some presets I’m making.
  In Andrew Kramer’s light saber preset, the “saber control” effect isn’t one I recognize. It has controls for shutter speed, beam length, glow, extra glow, etc. I’m assuming that he made this specifically for the light saber preset. Is there any way that I could make one,(A custom effect control) or am I way off?
