Hello, I am just starting on FCP Compressor (version 3.0.5), and received a custom droplet to use for a codec I’ve been assured will provide me with excellent results. Being a compressor novice, I have no clue how to implement the droplet and create the custom codec on my computer. Can somebody please help me?

The droplet has the following information:
    Format: Video
    Width: 720
    Height: 480
Pixel aspect ration: NTSC CCIR 601/DV
    Crop: None
    Padding: None
    Frame rate 29.97
    Frame Controls: Automatically selected: Off

    I’ve got a Power Mac G5, OS X 10.5.8,
The file I want to convert is
    1.21GB
    1920×1080,
    H.264,
    Integer,
    TImecode,
    Duration 5:18,
    Channel Count 2,
    Total bit rate 32,622

I’m trying to get the file to less than 80mb, in FLV with Maximum Quality for a very particular (picky) client, to run on the internet.

    Thanks for your help.

I’m not sure I understand your problem 100%, but if it’s merely an issue of getting the droplet to work, it’s basically just a mini app. Drag the master file into the droplet to open and run the encode. I like to work with them stashed in my dock for a quick drag-and-drop encode.
