Curve to match mathematical function
Hello all,
Is there a way to plug in a mathematical function (exponential) and create a curve?
Second question, if I’m not abusing my privilege to ask these… Is there a way to apply a point to a curve with a measured distance along the curve? Obviously, I can Show>Rulers and measure the linear distance of the curve, but I need to calculate the length of the curve including bends in the curve. Example: I need to apply a point 10mm’s along a twisty and windy curve.

Scriptographer used to be the way to go, but that hasn’t been updated in a while.

With a light-hearted search (draw math functions) in Google, I found this:

You could take a screen shot of it and trace it in Illustrator. There are loads of tools out there, many free, you can use to create curves, then trace in Illustrator.
