    The Echo effect creates such results. Depending on how the scene is shot, you may need to use rotoscoping or other techniques to separate the subject from the background.

    Thanks a lot for your response, much appreciated.

    Before after effects how do you think this technique was accomplished? I had that thought after rewathig the first link which was filmed in the 60’s

    Before After Effects… this sort of thing was achieved with high speed cameras and optical printing, multiple prints of the negative would be overlaid and printed.
