Do you guys use cyberlink powerdirector?
With vegas, when making a 3d video you have to add that stereoscopic plugin to tracks and set them backwards or forward, how do you do that with powerdirector? How to set things backwards or forward? My neighbour has powerdirector 12 so I’m just curious, I googled but results were about converting 2d to 3d and not about how to set 3d positions.
    Thanks.

I believe Steve is implying that he’d not use it? But I could be wrong…

More like he had a severe allergic reaction to it! lol 😉

I have never used PowerDirector and would never even consider it so I guess my answer is a lot like Steves. Vegas Pro is all I need on Windows. On the Mac I use Final Cut Pro X.

    “would never even consider it”

    Why not?
Some programs do stuff better than others, as an example I prefer midi editing with cubase than pro tools, if I have to record a VERY simple band like drums, bass, guitar and voice(kind of simple punk band with only 3 chords melodies and raw tones), I record with Reaper.
About video, if somebody brings me a bunch of videos only to mix and render them, for sure I’ll prefer powerdirector than vegas because it renders really faster than vegas, at least with my puter it’s faster.
    Different programs for different needs.

You can’t compare PowerDirector to Cubase and Pro Tools. Cubase and Pro Tools are two professional programs for editing music and yes I try and use the right tool for the right job. PowerDirector is a consumer program that I just wouldn’t consider using for my business use any more than I’d consider Pinnacle Studio or any other consumer program. If you like it and it gets the job done for you that’s fine, us it.

As i said before, Hell No!
Vegas is all i need too. Ive been thru soooooo many crap
applications in my career over the years till its not funny
    .
PowerDirector is not a professional tool Joao, Invest and fine tune your
Time and Editing/Fimaking skills using professional applications.
Dont bother wasting your time trying to figure out how to do that
in PowerDirector, these B rated software will leave you hanging later
    on down the road!
