Could you post some standard candle (new version) results? Also which brand of card? Nice that two of these are less than a titan, and you have change for a nice dinner and wine!
Guess we should start a new topic so the KGB won’t hunt us down!

April 2, 2014 at 3:34 pmNot crazy about candle tests as I don’t find myself using 46 blur nodes on most grades. More concerned about r3d debayer, temporal NR. My real world tests showed that adding a second titan to my cubix didn’t really do that much, and at a grand a pop, not great value, so I dumped them on eBay. 2 x 6gb 280x at less than half the price of one titan gives basically same performance as 2 titans for me. They don’t work in ML though, forcing move to mavericks – bonus being resolve is much snappier in mavericks.
Mystery now is apple support for any of these non apple cards, cuda or opencl going forward.http://www.filmandtvcolor.com | colorist | Los Angeles, CA

April 4, 2014 at 8:51 amAgreed on updating Candle test to latest features.
I wish BMD would incorporate something like it so we could probe our systems more easily.
Scratch has it build in, so does Smoke.A slice of color…

April 5, 2014 at 9:02 pmOne Titan card can handle the debayer portion of up to 5K. But the debayer is only half the battle. Decompression has to be handled too. For 5K you need a FAST 12 cores for premium.
