Has anyone else experienced the phenomenon of hitting ‘Stop’ while playing a clip in the Source monitor or a sequence in the ‘Program’ monitor, and the CTI jumps ahead about 10 frames when it stops? We now have Premiere Pro CS3 on 4 machines, and this happens on only 2 of them. For a bit I thought it might be the IntelliPoint software problem because the first machine that had the issue had IntelliPoint installed which I uninstalled. However the issue continued, and the newest machine with the problem has a Logitech mouse installed.

    Thanks for any advice…

If the computer is connected to a VTR with PPro looking at it while playing the timeline that will cause the jump. Simply stop the app looking at the VTR in the Playback Options. Right click the Program Monitor>Playback…

Brilliant! I’d actually noticed that it had stopped, seemingly on it’s own, but after reading your solution I realized that I’d disconnected my deck.
