I wonder if it’s a newer processor situation?

    My Z800 (12 physical cores/24 hyper-threads) doesn’t have any issues exporting QuickTime (though I don’t export H264 through QuickTime).

…I did check on it when you posted it initially.

It could be. The Z820 have the new Sandy Bridge Xeons. Im just thankful I now have that capability. Although qt32serve is still a bottleneck that slows things down and I prefer to avoid it.

My exports are twice as fast if I use MXF OP1a AVC-100 for mastering or the MP-4 variant of H.264 for distribution.

Yeah…I think everyone echoes that sentiment. That said, I was running 4K ProRes in the Premiere Pro ‘next’ on a Windows machine at NAB in the AJA booth on an HP820 (and a 32 drive array) and it seemed to behave itself quite well.

Thats great to hear.I look forward to some first hand fun with that.

Ive never had problems with QT playback Its just how dog slow exporting can be with it.

I opened the last project I successfully exported a 1080P ProRes file with 2 weeks ago.

    It renders out just fine…..hhhmmmm.

I opened the project having the problem, made a new sequence (same settings)
copied the content over and now it works.

First time on CS 6 this happened.
