I now have 6 small Adobe update icons in my menu bar. Every time I try to update i get an “Update Failed” alert, and looking into the “error log” says: “Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 6.0.2 Update. There was an error installing this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U44M1U5” : (

You’re probably better off 😉 Look at the 6.0.2 update to see if it fixes anything mission critical for you but there are a lot of reports that it makes Premiere unstable on the mac platform.

If you want to go for it, some people have luck right off the bat installing a stand-alone update rather than through Adobe Updater https://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5447

What you might have to do is un-instal the AAM, Adobe Application Manager and then re download it from the adobe website. There is an updated AAM app that fixes some of the issues.

As far as 6.0.2 gors on my MAC it has been significantly more stable that 6.0.1

    Thanks – it kinda worked ; )

Funny thing is after updating the Application Manager couldn’t see the installed Adobe programs, and prompted me to be able to download programs that I do not have a license for …???

So, instead I went in and downloaded the stand-alone Premiere Pro updater, which did not work before, but now worked.

I still find Premiere a little unresponsive compared to FinalCutX – putting a simple Title on top of a base video, makes the program halt for a second when it rolls over the title… arghhh!
