Attaching a screenshot that will hopefully explain my confusion. I’m getting a debugging error when I run my (extremely basic) script, but it’s telling me that something isn’t a function when I’m staring right at the page in the After Effects CS6 Scripting Guide that told me what to write! Am I getting something basic wrong with regards to syntax or form or something like that?

This is my very first foray into the scripting world, so I’m totally prepared for the answer to to be “You did something stupid.”

I believe you need to put the undo group commands within the function itself.

Found the solution… it has nothing to do with the script, which was written correctly. I was operating with the ExtendScript Toolkit rather than the After Effects CS6 library, so it just didn’t have the correct set of functions and methods available to pull from. As I suspected, stupid mistake.
