  • CS6 preview RAM bug?

Posted by Miloš Homola on June 12, 2012 at 11:14 pm

Ok I noticed one strange thing in AAEcs6 when Im changing effects and so on and I want to try preview render, it has to be rerendered every siongle frame obviously but..

When I use multiple precompose like for instance I have Maincomp and Comp in it.

I have already prerendered (RAM stored) “MainComp” and Im working in “Comp” where I changed few effects than I want to move to “MainComp” and launch RAM preview but there are already old frames cached in RAM so I have to Clean RAM cache and start again, this is very painfull to do it over and over again.
This is common problem? or what?
    Thanks

Are you running 11.0.1? This update fixes some global performance cache bugs.

If the update doesn’t solve your problem, please consider filing a bug [link].

As a workaround, do you get better results with multiprocessing off?

Thanks for the support, Yes Im using the newest version.
And during working in AAE I mostly use only multiprocessing off , since it takes longer to start.

I also noticed, when I create new project and try the same way, it works normally. So it seems that problem is only in my particular project, strange..

I have the same issue, the .01 update didn’t fix it. It’s more evident on my laptop (8gb ram) than my desktop (32gb ram).

I already reported it to Adobe.

    Same here…
In matter of fact I have nothing but problems in AE6. Licensed software on a brandnew macPro 24GB.

My old laptop with cs6 works better…
