    Hi Todd and All…

does anyone have any idea how hard or easy it is to use in parallel the capabilities of Prelude to transcode a media set and edit native in PPro.

    Here is the scenario,

An editor might have a mission critical deadline (that never happens) where they want to edit native.

At the same time they want to generate

    1) a media set that is bandwidth friendly facility or MAM wide
    2) a proxy set that’s web/cloud friendly

    The point being…

I know Prelude can easily generate multiple media sets, the question is how hard or easy is it for Ppro to relink a project to a different media set.

For example, P2 has a folder structure, where as material transoceded to Quicktime does not.

MXF files have an .MXF extension, where quicktime has a .mov.

How good will PPro be at starting with MXF while on a laptop in the field, and then relinking to the equivalent .mov trasncoded set once back at the home base?
