    Hello,

I’m currently trying out Production Premium CS6 and Premiere CS6 on the 30 day trial as a possible replacement to Final Cut Studio.

So far so good, the media support is fantastic and the export options seem to be very comprehensive, however just one hurdle that I’ve stumbled upon that wasn’t a problem in Final Cut is being able to export each audio track in a sequence as is. From what I can work out I need to set each track up as a mono track and set the master track to multi-channel, however this only goes up to 16 channels but I want to export to a QuickTime with 24 discrete channels.

So is there a way of exporting each track in the sequence timeline to a discrete track in the outputted file by overriding the master track?

    Thanks
    Luke

Anyone know if this is possible, likewise for Media Encoder too.

Have you had any luck with this? I need to output 4 discreet mono channels when encoding to ProRes (Rather than a stereo mix)
but cannot figure out the workflow. Guess it is time for some more Lynda.com tutorials.

I’ve not had much luck with it but you are able to set the master track to output 4 channels in your case however I believe on export, you will be left with a QuickTime that has one sound track with 4 channels rather than 4 mono sound tracks if that’s what you are trying to do.

I’m also running into this problem. I’ve got a 5.1 project that needs to have final delivery channel order as:

    L R C LFE Ls Rs

…but the export order out of Premiere is:

    L R Ls Rs C LFE

…and I can’t figure a way to override that. I’ve tried to do a workaround by setting up my sequence as a 6 channel multichannel, then exporting multichannel audio, but there isn’t an option to export 6 channels – just 5 or 7. So I’m exporting 7, bringing my master file into Avid, then removing the empty 7th audio channel, and exporting DirectOut. Super convoluted!

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
